We Won!!! And it was a battle,their fans were OUT OF CONTROL!!! I think every game from this point on is going to be a close one, the teams left are AMAZING!! And we are one of those. Skylee had the only RBI getting her friend in to score the run. We have a joke that's, "friends don't leave friends on third base." well, she didn't! Good job Baby girl!! And good job Bailee. Good job Lakers!!!! Because the game was in St. George the support was limited, but some kids from the school drove down, I thought that was nice. The principal flew down. and of course our dear friends from St. George came...At Paul's work they go fishing EVERY thursday. SO Julie told us she'd be to the game, but Paul couldn't get away because he had to take his workers fishing. Well, when we arrived at their home on wednesday night Paul proceeded to tell us he told them it was a national holiday and he couldn't miss Skylee's game!!! Ha Ha, he said he had been watching her play down in St. George since she was in 9th grade and he was not going to miss her senior year! They were so cute, even bringing one of their employees with them to the game. It's is no wonder Skylee calls them her St. George Mom and Pop!!! Thanks guys!!! They found out after the game one of the people in their bishopric was the coach of the other team! hope they don't get kick out!!

At St. George, the Lakers got all four of their hits in the first inning, scoring the game’s lone run on Skylee Bowden’s single.
Leadoff batter Bailee Freeland singled, advanced to second on Valerie Buckway’s sacrifice and stole third.
“I know how we won,” Bonneville coach Brenda Hart said. “We had our hits in the first inning. Our defense saved us; we were solid defensively.”
Dixie senior right-hander Kim Brooks rang up 16 strikeouts in a losing cause.
“We hit her the first inning and the next six innings we didn’t,” Hart said. “It’s a different atmosphere for us this year. We buckled the girls down and we’re doing well.”
Sophomore right-hander Amber Hancock tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts, five walks and a hit batter for the Region 5 runner-up Lakers (17-7), who play league rival Woods Cross on Tuesday in the championship bracket.
