Softball has Started!!!!

Our friends the Arslanians who live in St. George even came and watched!




Well, softball has officially kicked off!!! Skylee had a tournament in St. George this weekend. This is the first tournament of the year every year, and she can't get down there quick enough. After hitting all winter in a cage, she loves to get to hit off "REAL" pitchers. This is her comp. team. the one she will be going to Oklahoma with, and they are a very good team. The whole family decided it's her senior year that they would try to support her as much as possible, So Brock, Whitnie, Sunnee and the boys all came with us. It was a blast. The first game Sky was a little rusty, she had not hit off a live person since fall. And we knew UVU coach was coming to watch her play! She struck out twice! mind you, she went the whole year last year with not ONE strike out, of course the pitchers are better every year also. But she was upset, she said " I know what needs to be done and I just need to go do it!!" Well, the third game she played like a rockstar!! And come to find out that was the game UVU was watching! After the game the Comp. coach went and asked the UVU coach if she needed anything because she was standing there waiting for him. and she said "Yes, I need to talk to Josi (the pitcher) And Skylee!!!" She informed him she could not speak to Skylee directly until after the tournament, but she could her parents. She gave Scott a card and told him to have Skylee contact them today to set up an "OFFICIAL" visit!!!! We are soooo proud of Sky!!! All her hard work seems to paid off. We can't wait to hear what they have to say. She told Scott that not only was she impressed by Skylee's play, but she loved how she treated her team mates. This meant so much to me Because I know what a sweetie she is and how kind she is to everyone. Good Luck Sky!!! We are so proud of you!!
