We just got home from the first official Bonneville tourney of the year. Skylee played Soooo Well. She had her first grand slam, had some triples, doubles and close to 19 RBI's for the 5 game tournament!! She was so happy to be back playing ball. Two of her friends, Ashley Redd and Lyndsee (Lacey) Nichols came down to support her and her fellow player Kelci Quigley. Thanks, girls!.. She's excited for the upcoming year. She has always been Bonnevilles leading scorer, but the new sophmores and freshmen can hit and it's nice to see someone else get on the bases. It should be a great year! It's hard to believe that it's her senior year and it will be over soon..... Next up... three games this week, one of which is Grantsville the game the UVU coach is coming to watch her!! Keep your fingers crossed! The ending to the tournament was quite the rollercoaster. At the last game we got a call that Mindi was being sent to U of U to have her baby. Because we were winning the game by a lot they had taken out the starters and put in the younger girls so Brenda ( Skylee's coach) told us we could leave we literally ran by the hotel through everything in the car and FLEW home. We went straight to the hospital after dropping the other girls off at their sisters house that lives by the U. We arrived in time to find out Mindi's baby was not big enough to have surgery so they had given her medication to Stop her labor and after hanging out for about 4 hours finding out it was working and they would send her home on bedrest. We arrived home at 4:00 A.M.! After being up and playing three games then driving home and then going to the hospital needless to say Sky didn't wake up until 1:00! Thanks to evevryone, the coach, the team and the girls for understanding. And for the Sister, Amy that drove the girls home this morning, The Standers for offering EVERYTHING to help out, the Arslanians, J-Rod for caring for the dogs, and anyone else I might have forgotten. It took a lot of people to allow us to be there. We couldn't have done it without ALL 0f you. Everyone is so kind in these kind of circumstances.
